Description
The Epson Sure Color SCP400, SCP405, SCP407, SCP408, PX7V printers can be modified to a Chipless Version, allowing you to skip Step 4 of the guide. Here are the steps to activate this feature:
Step 1: Firmware Download
,Download and extract the Zip archive with Epson Sure Color SCP400, SCP407, SCP408, PX7V Firmware FA20I4 version.
Step 2: Connection Setup
,Connect your printer to PC using a USB cable under Windows OS. Disable all Epson processes and services.
Step 3: Firmware Upload
,Upload the firmware to the printer in NORMAL MODE by running EPFWUPD.EXE file and following all steps.
Step 4: Firmware Check
,Check the current firmware version. If the firmware version is FA20I4, the firmware has been uploaded successfully.
Step 5: Activation Key
,Buy the Activation Key, download License.exe application (Windows only), and run License.exe under Windows to activate online using the Activation Key.
