Epson Stylus Pro 9450 Firmware Update
If you own an Epson Stylus Pro 9450 printer, updating the firmware is essential for optimal performance. The firmware is stored on the Flash ROM on the Main Board of the printer. In case you need to replace the Main Board or update the firmware, follow the steps below to write the firmware onto the Flash ROM.
System Requirements
To update the firmware, you will need a computer with Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP (32bit), or any other systems that can run in compatibility mode. Make sure to have the necessary compatibility to ensure a smooth update process.
Update Procedure
Turn off both the printer and the computer and connect them using a USB cable., Turn on the computer first, followed by turning on the printer., Launch the Firmware Update Tool., Choose the port and select the firmware file in UPG format., Click the SEND button to transfer the firmware data., Once the transfer is complete, a COMPLETE popup window will appear. Click OK.,7. The printer will automatically reboot once the firmware update is done.
Additional Information
After uploading the firmware on a newly installed Main Board, the printer may perform an initial ink charge if needed. If the initial ink charge is not required, make sure to clear the Initial Ink Charge Flag ON/OFF.
