Activation Key for making Epson WFC5890, WFC5890BAM Chipless
Step 1: Download Firmware
Download and extract the Zip archive with WFC5890, WFC5890BAM Firmware DB01N9 version. Ensure that your printer can be modified to the Chipless Version.
Step 2: Connect and Disable
Connect your printer to a PC with Windows OS using the proper USB cable. Disable all Epson processes and services. You can do this manually using task manager and administration tools, or through the WIC Reset Utility.
Step 3: Upload Firmware
Upload the Firmware to the printer in NORMAL MODE. Start the printer with the power button, do not use service mode yet. Run EPFWUPD.EXE file and follow all steps until Firmware is uploaded.
What to do after uploading?
Check the current firmware version. If it’s DB01N9, proceed to the next steps. If not, restart the printer and retry. Purchase the Activation Key, download the License.exe application, run it under Windows, input the Activation Key, and press Activate Online.
